The bowl is fine, however it could do with being a little larger. A 50gm ball of wool fills it, which means the yarn doesn’t move enough, it improves as the ball gets smaller, but it is frustrating at the start of a project…. I could do with a second one but will try to find something larger. It was expensive for what it is, although I understand the work that went into it… I did do ceramics a long time ago!

These bowls are absolutely gorgeous! So beautifully made I now have 2! You wouldn’t think you needed a yarn bowl. But once you’ve started using one you really can’t do without!

Just love this shaving scuttle. As soon as I opened the parcel and saw the scuttle I just went WOW, run it under the hot tap to get it warm then fill with hot water and add a blob of shaving soap. Leave whilst you wash your face then wet your brush and whip up a nice warm lather on your brush for shaving.This is the best shaving scuttle/bowl that I have seen for a long while simply one of the best.

This is the most wonderful object! Firstly it really does what it is supposed to do: the yarn ball stays where it is, stays off the floor – and the yarn runs smoothly through the eyelet. Secondly it looks so lovely on the table, much nicer to look at than the old plastic bag I’ve always kept yarn in before! The perfect wool bowl! It’s beautifully made and just wonderful. My partner’s mother asked for a wool holder for Christmas, and a couple of years ago my sister bought one of these for our mum and she loved it. Second purchase from Gary in a few days. Beautiful heavy bowl with a gorgeous shiny glaze in my favourite colours. As with my previous purchase, very well wrapped and protected so that it arrived in pristine condition. Shipped promptly. Smooth curl ‘cut out’ for feeding the yarn through without snagging. Very happy customer, who is eyeing up a lot of other products and dreaming up custom orders.

I am already using this beautiful yarn bowl, and it works perfectly. The bowl is exactly as shown in the photo, beautifully glazed with no imperfections. My 50g ball of off-white double knit wool rolls around smoothly in the bowl, with no jumps or bids for freedom. The yarn pulls through smoothly with no catching or snagging. It arrived when expected, and was very well packed and protected, in bubble wrap, scrunched up packing paper, expanded polystyrene beads, all in a well taped, clearly addressed box. I am delighted with the bowl and a very happy customer.

It stops the ball from rolling around and stops the thread from twisting, which is particularly useful when kitting small items.
